 rs\, European Union Member States will have to rely increasingly on market
  forces in local public transport (LPT) services procurement in order to c
 ope with the expected rise in transport demand\, improve competition among
  operators\, implementing a fairer distribution and a more efficient use o
 f scarce public financial resources. This 2-days workshop aims at studying
  the many different aspects of LPT services procurement in order to encour
 age socially desirable outcomes. The workshop is organised within the acti
 vities of the Special Interest Group E2-Transport Pricing and Economic Reg
 ulation of the WCTRS A selection of papers presented at the workshop will 
 be considered for publication on the Special Issue (SI) “LPT services proc
 urement” on Research in Transportation Economics (ISSN:0739-8859). Submiss
