DESCRIPTION: AbstractResearch on process mining has largely focused on deve
 loping tools and techniques for transforming event data into models. The a
 ssumption underlying these techniques is that event logs represent the exe
 cution of processes in real life. But to what extent does the data reflect
  actual behavior? How can we measure that? And how can we complement event
  data to improve this representation or reality?BioIris Beerepoot is lectu
 rer and researcher at Utrecht University. She recently defended her PhD di
 ssertation on how to use workarounds to improve processes in healthcare or
 ganizations. She is particularly interested in using different techniques\
