ming Organizations through AI and Business Process Innovation Abstract: Di
gital transformation (DT) and artificial intelligence (AI) are reshaping h
ow organizations operate\, interact\, and innovate. However\, successfully
implementing these technologies requires more than just infrastructure\,
it demands a rethinking of business processes\, governance models\, and or
ganizational design. This talk offers a multi-perspective overview of how
emerging technologies such as IoT\, blockchain\, and especially Large Lang
uage Models (LLMs) are being integrated into process-aware systems across
domains like smart manufacturing and e-government. Part of the talk is dev
oted to discussing recent research results at the intersection of Business
Process Management (BPM)\, DT\, smart production management and the adopt
ion and impact of AI in organizations management\, including tools for res
ilient process modeling\, GDPR compliance by design\, and language-model-p
owered assistants for civil law writing. Through both theoretical and appl
ied lenses\, the talk highlights the organizational impact of these techno
logies\, and the methodologies used to design\, validate\, and deploy them
. The goal is to provide both a conceptual and empirical roadmap for resea
rchers and practitioners interested in the future of intelligent\, transpa
rent\, and human-centered digital organizations. Short Bio: Francesca De L
uzi is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Computer\, Control\,
and Management Engineering (DIAG) at Sapienza University of Rome. She hol
ds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Management Engineering under the supervision
of Massimo Mecella and Andrea Marrella in the same institution. Her resear
ch focuses on the interplay between business processes and emerging techno
logies such as AI\, LLMs\, IoT\, and blockchain\, with applications in dom
ains like public administration\, legal systems\, and smart manufacturing.
She actively contributes to national and European research projects inclu
ding Giustizia AGILE\, DataCloud\, and BinTraWine.
